This is our wonderful trip to Brisbane to visit Mike's daughter Charlotte, husband Richard and gorgeous Grandchildren Archie & Poppy. This was at the end of February so how they will have changed in only a few months!
A beautiful location about half an hr outside Toowoomba and a couple of hrs from Brisbane. We loved it. So picturesque and quiet. We spent every other day at home with the children doing lots of fun things ...swimming, feeding the chicks, reading, horseriding, tapestry even with the children. Poppy took a liking to my make-up bag and spent most days in front of the mirror making up and dressing up.... and guess what? she loves PINK! However she never said 'no' to a ride with Archie on the quad bike! Archie liked nothing better than to be outside catching things in jars, feeding the animals and doing boy 'things'. It is a wonderful life for Archie & Poppy. One problem for Archie is that he has to 'fit' school in!! Drat!Brisbane's Museum of Modern Art. Making aeroplanes from a collection of cardboard and plastic rubbish.
A fabulous Turkish restaurant Charlotte took us too for lunch. Beautiful decor and really tasty food and delicious cocktails.
Believe it or not these were the only Kangas we saw in 2 weeks in Brisbane! In a Zoo!! apart from the one we saw at the side of the road in our headlights on our last eve coming home from the restaurant. Everyone was telling us that you always saw them around...so we think that one was planted to prove a point...probably stuffed..it wasn't moving!
A lovely view from the veranda as the sun goes down with a G & T going down nicely too!
