Kia Ora - Food glorious Food!

Back to France from our fabulous trip 'down under'. We had such a wonderful time with family in NZ & OZ . Two weddings, lots of sightseeing and an energetic time with Mike's Grandchildren... and glorious sunshine.....where has the time gone!! Thought I would share with you some of the mouth watering food & drinks we enjoyed in a variety of restaurants and bars!

Couldn't come back from NZ without trying the green lipped mussels...so I did...delicious!

Name of the restaurant :-)...did you guess?

One of the famous 'Doyles' restaurants in Sydney. Thanks Sue for coming all the way from the 'Blue Mountains' to have a meal with us, much appreciated. One day we will do the same:-)
Cheers!

Sue's choice, although she very kindly let me taste the scallops..yum!

Mike's choice...it was so good he ate it all himself!

Mine..whoo hoo..I did offer the orange but no one wanted it! Strange!

Breakfast just along from the Opera house.

A work of art...or perhaps a stencil!

Cocktails before going to see 'Midsummers Night Dream' at Sydney Opera House.

Superb!

...and of course Sydney oysters!

A starter in Canberra.
Tools of the trade.

Another fantastic seafood dish at Sydney harbour.

Paddy's Market...great fun at the end of the day when they are selling everything off...the noise is amazing and so colourful!

Delicious gateaux in Sydney.

Mussels from the Coromandel Peninsular.
Yes, it is all yours and you have to eat it with two sticks!
Lovely restaurant called 'Blue Ginger' at Whitianga, NZ.
Rooftop at the London West Hollywood Hotel, L.A
Gordon Ramsay restaurant..absolutely delicious food.

Ok, not quite the same level as London West Hollywood but when in LA you have to try the burgers!
...and the coke!
...and the chips and tomato sauce for the Brits!!
Better than McDonalds I have to say...real meat!
More Gordon Ramsay food at the restaurant at London West Hollywood Hotel. LA.

Beautifully presented.

..and of course 'the cocktails'!
Bon santé!

A delicious cocktail called 'Turkish Delight' at a Turkish restaurant called 'Ahmet's' in Brisbane, South Bank. It really tasted of turkish delight :-))...alcoholic!
Bon santé..encore!

Beautiful tasting food and the decor was sumptuous...loved it. Thanks Charlotte for taking us there!

More green lipped mussels...once tried!
Delicious wedding cake from the two family weddings we attended. Pity we couldn't bring some home....not allowed! Wishing you all the best for your futures together.
