A walk in the Montagne Noir

Beautiful dappled light as we walked through the wood yesterday afternoon.

A derelict farm/dwellings or outbuildings used for storing wheat or corn. Probably abandoned a long time ago when living there become too difficult.
Fabulous views across the Montagne Noir.
Ty and Michael deep in discussion.
Mine is the pink one;-)!

A well earned rest and a choccie biccy!!;-)

Hope it doesn't rain!

The threshing floor...not much threshing being done from what I can see!
A leaping Megan...go girl!
A memorial to seven young resistance fighters, aged between 18yrs and 33yrs! Lined up against the wall and shot by German soldiers at the end of the war. They were betrayed by a collaborator! My three sons are between that age band and as a mother I can empathise with how their families would have felt. I felt very sad..such a waste of young lives!
