Pézenas, France.

A very pretty little town called Pézenas, where Molière the playwright once lived. You can watch a fifty minute film about the life of Molière at the information centre...we arrived just as they were closing...c'est la vie...la prochaine fois!

We can see you! Just spotted the bin...drat!
An amazing trompe l'oeil door.

Gill & Paul outside the Moliére restaurant. It was too early in the evening to eat there, so we set off back to Carcassonne and stopped in Homps for something to eat.

What are they waiting for I wonder?

Oh, I see...La Poste...long wait guys...it's Sunday!

I was informed by Gill that it looked better than it tasted! Shame! the French seem to like undercooking meat and overcooking vegetables! Hope they don't take the homps!!:-)..he he!!

Onion festival, Labastide Esparbairenque, France.

Congratulations to the those that walked from Mas Cabardes to Labastide Esparbairenque, aprox 22 kilometres! On a warm day!
Well, I think I have seen it all now..a musical pig and not a squeak in sight!
And more!
The village choir... bravo!

I recognise that 'village face'...it is Labastide's 'David Bailey'.
This little piggy went to...the Onion Festival!
Occitan dancing...looks suspiciously like 'ring -a - ring of roses' to me:-)

Hokey cokey?
'Follow my leader'?
The Gay Gordon's ?
Yes Ken, I have seen the photo you took of me!

Ivy cottage, Essex.

After returning from Malaga, we spent a wonderful weekend with my twin brother Graham and his partner Linda. They always make us feel very welcome and you can see by the following photos what an idyllic place it is to be.

As usual we were well fed as both Linda and Graham are excellent cooks....so consequently the waistline continued to expand! What the heck, we are on holiday! The diet begins Monday...some Monday:-)

Graham & Linda with their cute dog Fergus.

We were lucky enough to be there to see their colourful spring garden..just caught the wisteria in bloom. Beautiful colour and fragrance.

Mike in relax mode!

A peaceful, sunny Sunday afternoon.

I just love Irises..I wish my painting skills were better than they are... so will just have to make do with a photo!

A little patch of yellow!

Misty Garbo!

A wonderful sunset view from the conservatory.
Thank you Graham & Linda for your kind hospitality ...looking forward to the next visit in July:-)!

Finca Colina, Malaga, Spain.

We spent a wonderful few days with friends who own a finca half an hour north of Malaga. Glorious weather, good food , wine and company.

Mike working for his supper..shelling almonds.

Team work.

C & T enjoying a G & T and moules by the pool..delicious.

The cat sat on the hat...Blanco enjoying the shade.

The cool pool. It was a very cool pool but once in, it was brilliant.

It is a great time to visit as the mountains and hillsides are covered in the most wonderful wild flowers. The colours are so vibrant.

Sunset over the Finca.

Goatherder bringing in his goats mid evening. The sound of the goat bells ringing, the sunsetting, sitting by the pool with C & T with a G & T...magic! I want to return soon.

Cheers! Thanks Christine & Terry for a wonderful relaxing few days with you and your pets.

And so to bed!
