La Semaine Espagnole

Spanish WEEK began last night and lasts 4 days!! Amazing energy under the hot lights and 29 degrees in the square Andre Chenier, Carcassonne. Hundreds of people turned out for this colourful show and lots of tapas bars situated around the perimeter of the square provided food and refreshments! At a price!! Today is a performance of a group of Flamenco damcers in Place Carnot and this evening more Spanish music at Andre Chenier. The most controversial event is the bullfighting which begins tonight and for the next two days!! Ban bullfighting! The only interest I have there is the fantastic suits these Matadors and Picadors wear...such amazing workmanship and they cost thousands to buy...so you wouldn't want a rip in it...would you!!!!
