Ice Rink at Place Carnot, Carcassonne.

The building of the ice rink in the centre square of Carcassonne has fascinated Mike for a week...must be a boy thing! However, all the components required for this spectacular ice rink make interesting photos! Can't wait to get on it!! Must be a girl thing!

Anniversary Bouquet

Rainbows, a picturesque bike ride and a magnificent sunset on our anniversary weekend! What more could one ask for..hmmm.....a big win on the lottery!
I settled for a beautiful bouquet of pink roses...thanks Mike.

A bike ride along the Aude

A warm sunny day, perfect for a bike ride along the river. Wonderful colours of autumn leaves, copper coloured trees, blue skies, the sound of water and a glimpse of a heron before it took flight.

Dance Festival 2008

Mike and I went to the Theatre Jean Alary last night to see 'Festival de la Danse'. It was absolutely fantastic! Two hours of spectacular dancing, colourful costumes, brilliant choreography and a great choice of music.

Dance schools from Carcassonne, Albi, Bordeaux, Cusset and Toulouse took part. The standard of dance was amazing, from tiny tots to young adults. Choreography was original, witty and intricate, ranging from Classic, Neo Classic, Jazz and Contemporary dance.

Part of the ticket price...a snip at 12 euros each, went to the 'Association Sesame Autisme Aude'.

We will definitely be booking for next year

Sadly no photos as they were filming to produce a CD for sale. Will see if I can find websites for the schools.

All the fun of the Fair at Carcassonne

There is never a dull moment in Carcassonne. The fair has been here all week and now they are building an ice rink in the square! Whoopee!! I love skating!
