Lac Caveyere near Carcassonne

A fantastic new discovery for us. Thank you to our friend Rosie for pointing us in the right direction. Wish we had known about it when Mike's daughter and grandchildren visited us from Australia last year...another time we hope!

A small, sandy, safe beach for children to play and adults to relax.

A wonderful walk around the lake.

A place to cool off.

Plenty of space.

Something for the girls to watch :-))

Chocolate Strawberries and Tea

The Horne family...looks like Steve is limbering up to blow one:-) !!

Thank you Rebecca for the delicious strawberries and apologies to Abigail for leaving only three!!

It was your Mum that ate most of them;-)) ...honestly:-).

Whole!! No Lesley it is not a grape!!:-)

One of my beautiful birthday presents...a perfumed tea that slowly opens into a flower. C'est magnifique! Merci mon amie.

Scottish Garden

A beautiful array of flowers in a friends garden

A wonderful tranquil place to be.

Poppies in Northumberland

A beautiful drive up to Allendale in Northumberland passing a glorious field that would have been worthy of a Monet painting! C'est trés joli.

More Fruits et Legumes!

Sunday was another glorious day with lots more fruit and vegetables on show. A light shower of rain earlier in the morning had refreshed everything and it all looked tremendous. The missing fruit was indeed strawberries and cherries as seen in picture above. The birds would have had a wonderful midnight feast if they had been displayed the day before n'est-ce pas?

Look Mummy a fruit and veg scarecrow - trés different!

A room with a view!

Photographer taking a break - you can get too much fruit and veg. However, couldn't help taking lots more close ups for you all to admire.

Yep, there's always one! Standing on the pavement like everyone else was not good enough for this Monsieur. His lens is big enough!! Yeah, go on Madame you tell him to stop sitting on your melons!!

Do you know your onions!

C'est trés joli.

So bananas do grow on trees after all!

Interesting headgear.

A little carrot top!

Shall we dance.

Do I have too?

More crazy, colourful fruit & veg hats..watch out for those birds!!

Just so cute and colourful!

Then it's all over and the display is pulled down. Fruit & veg placed into boxes and sold for 10 euros. Proceeds to a cancer charity.

During the afternoon there were several fruity competitions. See what you can make out of a melon, cucumber, carrots, tomatoes and strawberries.

An interesting take on the 1970's hedgehog!

Needless to say these were the winners. Congrats to Carcassonne! Yes, I can see you all rushing off to see what you can make. Le Papillon c'est magnifique!

Okay, so who ate the E!

A strong armed Madame. She was first in the queue!

One last display..umm..perhaps I should have but the best last!
