Charlotte 'The Bride to be' was a great sport all weekend. First she was dressed as an old granny and then a corpse bride! Put him down Charlotte you never know where he has been!! She also dressed as 'Jacko' and we spent 2 hilarious hours learning the moves to 'Thriller'! Four teams of six people had to make a wedding dress out of toilet rolls and sellotape in 15 minutes! They looked great but not very durable...no matter what Andrex says! This was our team and our beautiful bride. Four Brides and a wedding! Ghouls, Ghosts, Witches and a Corpse Bride at the Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester. Mitch the Witch:-)
The Corpse Bride to be!
Be afraid....very afraid!
Getting the gear on. Showing off the eye makeup or perhaps having a quick kip before going out on the toon! Cheers! First time ever in my life that I went out without a coat....result! Another box ticked! May I introduce Edward. Fairy GothMother of the Corpse Bride and yes, she is eyeballing you! Lots of lovely lashes. Lots of lovely leg too! Sonia looks like she has just had a fright! Or more likely given someone else a fright! More Witchy friends. We suggested to Maggi to go to the Dentist but she left it too late!! We told her not to drink too much but she wouldn't listen! Now look at the state of her! Red & Green should never be seen except on.... Valentine's night!! Face in the crowd....and what a face!!
I got back to the UK just at the right time and I am so glad I hadn't packed my wellies away! A Snowman for Archie & Arabella in Brisbane who are baking in the sunshine! 7.45 am
Well, I am off again to 'dear old blighty'..leaving blue skies and warm sunny days behind. Packing warm sweaters, scarves and gloves for the cold bleak days ahead! See you all soon;-).
Apart from a few trees and chimney pots blown off, Carcassonne escaped La Tempête very lightly. Gusts of up to 80mph raged through the streets of Carcassonne last Saturday, followed by heavy rain. Some people lost their electricity for up to three days but again we were very fortunate in that respect. Apparently, further south, places like Toulouse and the northern part of Spain suffered the worst of the storm with a considerable amount of damage and unfortunately some deaths!
It has been ten years since the last storm of this ferocity. For further pictures of the damage the storm reaped across France and Spain see the link below.
